The building is situated in a neighbourhood where all streets are named after Dutch writers from the 18th and 19th century (e.g. C. Loots, J.van Lennep, J.P. Heije, J. Kinker, A.C.W. Staring). The façade design is a library consisting of 250 unique ceramic books. Their spines carry the titles of poems from the above-mentioned writers and illustrations from the famous 18th century book of typography by Johan Enschede.
This project was realized in close collaboration with the ceramist Pieter Kemink (Koloriet, Amsterdam) and graphic designer Melle Hammer.
